The Tourism Fund: What will it be used for?
Investing Into A Stronger Future For Jackson
- The Tourism Fund collected from the proposed Transient Tax can ONLY be used for Tourism Initiatives for the City of Jackson and our Community
- Examples of what the Tourism Fund would be used on:
- Grant Matching & Administrative Costs
- GOJXNMO Brand Marketing Campaigns
- Signage & Tourism Assets for the City
- Event Promotions & Collaborations
- Visitor Hub Support, Materials, Calls, Marketing
- How could dedicated marketing, tourism funds, and increasing visitors to Jackson benefit the city?
- Jackson receives dedicated marketing in multiple regions, which increases the city visibility to outside communities
- Increase of city visibility = Increase of visitors to Jackson
- The more visitors we have come to our city, the more visitors spend in our city
- Visitor spending directly supports local businesses
- Opening opportunities for expanded community events, programs, grants and funding, and so much more
- It will begin building a foundation for a Stronger Future for Jackson's Community and Economic Growth

WHO CAN VOTE FOR TOURISM?
All residents who live inside the Jackson City Limit Boundary are eligible to vote for the Transient Tax on the August 4th Ballot.
Fruitland, Millersville, Gordonville, etc. Communities are not eligible to vote on this issue.
